What Kind of Cars Do Our FLD Members Own?

10月 22, 2020 Arizona, Cars, Community, Los Angeles, San Diego

As a car club, we don’t just focus on a single brand nor model. Much like our FLD members each bring something unique to the table, so do their vehicles. Driving as a fleet showcases a wide variety of luxury sports cars. If you’re wondering which cars we have, you’re in for a treat — a lot! Read on to see what kind of cars our FLD members own and what features each highlights.

Our Cars

The cars our FLD members have are varied, but all of them are fantastic choices with features unique to that brand or model that make them so compatible with the drivers that own them. On the higher end are our Ferraris, Lamborghinis, McLaren, and Aston Martin. Our more casual models include Porsche, Audi R8, BMW M, and Mercedes AMG models. Of course, this list isn’t by any means comprehensive; as car lovers and collectors, we’re always adding more!

Ferrari

We couldn’t dive into the vehicles we love without mentioning Ferraris. Ferraris are classic racing cars and have ruled the realm of exotic vehicles for quite some time — decades, in fact. They’ve since utilized race technology for their street cars, leading to the models we so enjoy driving every day. Their passion for speed, racing, and design is simply unprecedented, as demonstrated by the Ferrari 488 Pista

The 488 Pista has the most powerful V8 engine in the history of the Maranello marque. It features a 50 cv power jump over the 488 GTB’s engine, making it the largest leap in engine power in all of the Ferrari special series cars. Pistas tend to be a fan favorite around here, and they come in seven color options: silver, grey, black, white, yellow, red, and blue.

We’re equally excited about the launch of the new Ferrari Roma and hope to see it within our ranks soon.

Lamborghini

If you’ve ever driven a Lamborghini, you know precisely why our FLD members will choose to own them. Since the 1960s, Lamborghini has been setting the benchmark for high-quality engines. They have a long-standing reputation for some of the best internal combustion engines ever made in the history of auto engineering.

Paired with their passion for aerodynamics and design, Lamborghini’s exotic models are lightweight and incredibly fast. Their Huracán series (Evo, Spyder, RWD) is popular around here, and it has some of the sleekest lines we’ve ever seen combined with state-of-the-art mechanical technology. Their Murciélago, built between 2001 and 2010, is an older model that still remains in our collections due to its reliability and high performance.

Lastly, there’s Lamborghini’s Huracán Performante, a notable super sports car with weight, power, and aerodynamics completely reimagined and re-engineered by their technical team.

McLaren

McLarens are made in the United Kingdom and known for their many sports car models with a luxury look and plenty of high-tech specs. Our group especially likes the McLaren 720, which is a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V-8 engine. It gets an impressive 710 horsepower, goes from 0 to 60 in 2.6 seconds, and features awesome radio, climate, and navigation controls among other internal features.

McLaren’s 600 LT model embodies their past “Longtail” models, featuring hydraulic cross-linked dampers and moveable aero devices. Their 570s are designed to be the ultimate entry level sports car experience, focused on the driver’s comfort and car performance. A notable shoutout also goes to the McLaren P1 and long-awaited Speedtail, which are both limited-production hybrid sports cars.

Aston Martin

Aston Martin is renowned for its iconic luxury sports cars manufactured in the United Kingdom. Their slogan is “Power, Beauty, and Soul” — a slogan they’ve stayed remarkably true to. Since 2005, Aston Martin has used either V8 or V12 engines in all of their models, giving them overwhelming power.

Don’t let their lower horsepower fool you; these cars are powertrains with high amounts of torque. Their 2017 Vanquish S. is consistently ranked among the best Aston Martin models of all time, and their 2020 Vantage is upholding their legacy through its show-worthy design and speed.

Bugatti

Of course, our Fast Lane Members also love the Bugatti Chiron, a powerful, breathtaking supercar with unparalleled top speeds and design. In addition, we can’t get enough of the Veyron, a poster-worthy supercar that nearly every car enthusiast has loved since they were a kid.

Porsche

Of all the Porsche vehicles, our group’s favorite tends to be the Porsche 911. Porsche 911s differ from other sports cars and luxury models because of their rear-engine layouts. This design offers better traction during acceleration, and 911s’ grippy handling allows for an agile feel. Additionally, the 911 has an air-cooled engine — still with six cylinders — for enhanced aerodynamics, reliability, and low center of gravity for precise handling. The Porsche still remains to be the most understated sports car gaged by most car-enthusiasts because “you don’t know unless you know.” The impressive power starts with the 911 ranging to the wickedly powerful,  911 GT2 RS, infamously nicknamed “widowmaker.”

Cars of 2021: What We’re Looking Forward To

At Fast Lane Drive, we’re always looking forward to what’s next. So many new makes and models come out every year, and 2021 doesn’t look like it’ll be any different. Alfa Romeo, BMW, and even Maserati are releasing new sports cars and luxury SUVs in the next year. We’re looking forward to the Alfa Romeo’s 2021 TV, a two-door coupe, as well as their 2021 Tonale.

As for BMW, we can look forward to two new additions to their three-series, the 2021 M3 and M4. The most anticipated vehicle is the 2021 Maserati MC20, making a huge comeback with a new super sports car which will be available in both coupe and convertible.
